Alex Carmen (b. 2000, Washington, DC) is an LA based multidisciplinary artist and designer. Carmen’s work negotiates intersections within his unique visual lexicon developed through improvisation, drawing, painting, video, and digital imagery. By crossing motifs and spontaneously wrangling surfaces, Carmen looks to create honest and potent works that translate across multiple media. His work discusses his own relationship between the body, the consciousness, the digital, and the real— and by doing so hopes to bring rise to the relatability of his own condition.
